NAV 2009 Coming Soon
Due for release December 1, NAV 2009 represents a major change in the interface options and a role-based client among other new capabilities.   For those of you on Version 5, it is important to know that there are not significant functionality changes in NAV 2009 beyond this. 

Other than the “sneak peek” that Microsoft has provided to attendees of the Microsoft Road Show, we are legally constrained from publishing any additional information until the official publicity release date of November 19.

Once it has been released, we do not expect to see the upgrade toolkit until early next year.   Additionally, if you are not on Version 5, upgrading to NAV 2009 will require an initial upgrade to Version 5 and then upgrade to NAV 2009.

Functionality You Can Use

Over the years, we’ve developed a number of productivity and functional extensions for NAV, as well as important enhancements developed by trusted NAV Partners.

We’ve listed a number of the enhancements we’ve developed on the Beck Enhancements page.

Some of the key applications developed by other partners include:

- Credit Card Processing - this is a fully integrated electronic payment processing system, handling credit, debit, gift, EBT, and corporate purchase cards, as well as electronic checks.   No third party payment software is required.  It is VISA, Fortrex, and First Data certified, with complete encryption meeting the 2010 requirements,

- Collections Management - if you have collections issues and want to put a more structured collection program in place that is 100% integrated with your NAV installation, this application can pay for itself in a very short time.  

- User Portals - Have a large outside sales force that needs access to customer and CRM data?   Don’t want to buy expensive user licenses?   Utilizing Microsoft SharePoint technology, the Activigence  NAV Employee portal provides seamless integration for almost any NAV functionality for remote or casual users.
